EDI Automation Built Specifically for SAP Business One

EDI automation designed for SAP Business One, supporting compliant order, shipment, and invoicing workflows across EDI trading partners. Transactions are validated, structured, and delivered in a consistent format aligned with Business One processes, providing clear traceability and reliable audit trails without duplicate data layers.

EDI Transactions Aligned to SAP Business One Workflows

Orders, shipments, and invoices are validated, structured, and standardized within Alluvia based on EDI trading partner requirements. Once transactions meet compliance and data quality standards, they are delivered to SAP Business One in a consistent, predictable format.

Built-In Compliance for EDI Trading Partners

Trading partner requirements are validated within Alluvia before transactions are delivered to SAP Business One. This ensures EDI documents align with partner specifications and Business One workflows, helping reduce rejections, disputes, and downstream operational issues.

Scalable Trading Partner Onboarding Without ERP Disruption

New EDI trading partners are onboarded using standardized mappings aligned to SAP Business One workflows. As volume and complexity increase, EDI scales without custom scripts, workflow rewrites, or added operational burden for operations teams.

    / 01
How does Alluvia connect to SAP Business One?

Alluvia connects to SAP Business One through the DI API, with support for the Service Layer and direct SQL connections. Inbound EDI documents are turned into the matching SAP B1 records, and outbound documents are generated from them, with no custom development required from your team.

    / 02
Which versions of SAP Business One does Alluvia support?

Alluvia supports all versions of SAP Business One from 8.8 up to the latest release, v10, on both SQL Server and SAP HANA backends. Your EDI integration keeps working as your SAP environment evolves, with no change to the setup.

    / 03
Which EDI documents does Alluvia support for SAP Business One?

Alluvia supports the full range of EDI documents your trading partners require, and each one is mapped to the matching SAP B1 record rather than landing as raw EDI. An inbound 850 purchase order creates a Sales Order. The 855 acknowledgment goes back to your partner from that order. The 856 advance ship notice is generated off the Delivery, and the 810 invoice off the A/R Invoice. An 820 remittance advice posts back as an incoming payment. The 940, 944, and 945 warehouse documents keep your 3PL in sync with SAP B1, and GS1-128 labels are produced to each partner’s spec. Every document is validated against your trading partner’s requirements before it reaches SAP Business One.

    / 04
Do all trading partners share the same mapping, or can we customize per partner?

Both. Every trading partner starts from the same master template library, which is what makes onboarding fast and repeatable. From there, any individual partner can be customized to meet their specific requirements without affecting the mapping for any other partner. You get the speed of shared templates with the flexibility to handle a partner whose spec does not follow the rules.

    / 05
Do we need a developer or SAP consultant?

No. Alluvia’s team builds and maintains every trading partner map. There is no custom development, no workflow changes, and no ongoing developer involvement. When a trading partner changes a spec, Alluvia handles it directly with them rather than sending you a ticket.

    / 06
How fast can SAP Business One EDI go live?

Most SAP Business One EDI implementations go live in three to four weeks. Alluvia’s team handles the mapping and the trading partner onboarding, drawing on 1,600+ master templates, so your team is never pulled into development work.

    / 07
Can Alluvia handle our eCommerce channels as well as EDI?

Yes. Alluvia is an ERP integration platform, not an EDI-only tool. Your eCommerce channels and your EDI trading partners each connect independently to SAP Business One, so the two run in parallel without depending on each other. One platform handles both, which is usually what replaces a stack of separate point tools.
