NetSuite EDI Integration

Automate EDI directly within NetSuite to eliminate manual data entry, reduce compliance risk, and keep orders, shipments, and invoices flowing in real time across every trading partner.

End-to-End EDI Visibility

EDI Automation Built Around
How NetSuite Operates

NetSuite's flexibility as a cloud ERP makes it a strong foundation for growing businesses, but that same flexibility can make EDI compliance complex to manage at scale. Alluvia connects natively to NetSuite and automates the complete EDI transaction lifecycle, from inbound purchase orders to outbound ASN's and invoices, without SuiteScript customization, third-party middleware, or manual data handling.

Scalable Onboarding
with Less Manual Work

New EDI trading partners are onboarded using standardized mappings aligned to NetSuite's record structure. As transaction volume grows and new partners come on board, EDI scales without SuiteScript development, workflow customization, or added operational overhead.

EDI Transactions Aligned
to NetSuite Workflows

Orders, shipments, and invoices are validated within Alluvia based on your trading partners' EDI requirements. Once transactions pass compliance and data quality checks, they are delivered to NetSuite in a clean, consistent format that maps directly to your existing NetSuite records, reducing exceptions and manual intervention inside the ERP.

Trading Partner Compliance and Chargeback Prevention

Retailer, distributor, and 3PL requirements are mapped directly to NetSuite data fields. Validation occurs within Alluvia before documents are transmitted, reducing rejections, disputes, and chargebacks while keeping your team focused on operations rather than troubleshooting portal issues.

    Frequently Asked Questions

No answer to your question? You can write us your question and we will answer as soon as possible.

    / 01
How does Alluvia connect to NetSuite?

Alluvia connects to NetSuite through its SuiteTalk REST and SOAP APIs. Inbound EDI documents are turned into the matching NetSuite records, and outbound documents are generated from them, so your team works in NetSuite rather than in EDI. There is no SuiteScript customization, no third-party middleware, and no development work required from your team.

    / 02
Which EDI documents does Alluvia support for NetSuite?

Alluvia supports the full range of EDI documents your trading partners require, and each one is mapped to the matching NetSuite record rather than landing as raw EDI. An inbound 850 purchase order creates a NetSuite Sales Order. The 855 acknowledgment goes back to your partner from that order. The 856 advance ship notice is generated off the Item Fulfillment, and the 810 invoice off the NetSuite Invoice. An 820 remittance advice posts back as a Customer Payment. The 940, 944, and 945 warehouse documents keep your 3PL in sync with NetSuite fulfillment records, and GS1-128 labels are produced to each partner’s spec. Every document is validated against your trading partner’s requirements before it reaches NetSuite.

    / 03
Do all trading partners share the same mapping, or can we customize per partner?

Both. Every trading partner starts from the same master template library, which is what makes onboarding fast and repeatable. From there, any individual partner can be customized to meet their specific requirements without affecting the mapping for any other partner. You get the speed of shared templates with the flexibility to handle a partner whose spec does not follow the rules.

    / 04
Does Alluvia sync with NetSuite in real time?

Alluvia processes EDI transactions on a near real time basis. Documents are validated against your trading partner’s requirements and delivered into NetSuite as they are processed, rather than being held for a scheduled daily batch.

    / 05
Do we need a developer or a NetSuite consultant?

No. Alluvia’s team builds and maintains every trading partner map. There is no SuiteScript development, no workflow customization, and no ongoing developer involvement. When a trading partner changes a spec, Alluvia handles it directly with them rather than sending you a ticket.

    / 06
How fast can NetSuite EDI go live?

Most NetSuite EDI implementations go live in three to four weeks. Alluvia’s team handles the mapping and the trading partner onboarding, drawing on 1,600+ master templates, so your NetSuite team is never pulled into development work.

    / 07
Can Alluvia handle our eCommerce channels as well as EDI?

Yes. Alluvia is an ERP integration platform, not an EDI-only tool. Your eCommerce channels and your EDI trading partners each connect independently to NetSuite, so the two run in parallel without depending on each other. One platform handles both, which is usually what replaces a stack of separate point tools.
